Samples should always be accompanied by either a printed or digital copy of our submission form as well as detailed use instructions and a basic overview of the specific type of product in question (shampoo, moisturizing cream, etc). Advanced Science Laboratories has assembled a form to help expedite the processing of customer samples.

General Guidelines
All samples submitted for presentation to human skin must have completed safety assessments prior to study commencement. Studies must include:
- USP or PCPC (formerly CTFA) Preservative Efficacy Test (PET) – preferably 60 day double challenge – anhydrous samples excluded
- In-vitro Skin Irritation Tests (example – RIPT, Comedogenicity, Phototoxicity, etc.)
- In-vitro Eye Irritation Tests if applicable (example: ‘no tears claims’, ophthalmologist/ optometrist tested studies, etc.)
- 90 Day Accelerated Stability and Container Compatibility Study
Responsibility for conducting the above studies belongs to the Sponsor.
Advanced Science Laboratories can conduct irritation and sensitization testing and can refer you to microbiological, toxicological, analytical and stability testing facilities if requested. Please note that Advanced Science Laboratories has no reciprocal arrangements for referrals as we find this to be unethical.
